The biggest violations of the Code of journalists during the first six months in 2022 have been registered in the online sphere, a trend noted last year as well. These are the findings of the analysis of the Council of Media Ethics in Macedonia, which consists also comparable indicators for the first half of last and this year. The biggest violations to the Code have been registered in regards to violations of Article 1 of the Code, while the violations of other articles are less. This year, unlike the last year, when largest number of complainants were citizens, now they are representatives from civil organizations and public institutions. The analysis has been supported by UNESCO within the project “Media self-regulation: Strengthening media professionalism for the public good”.
