
Biljana Georgievska
Journalist with more than three decades of experience in various domestic and international media. From 1996 to 2011, she worked as a correspondent and producer for the Macedonian Section of the BBC World Service in Skopje and London. As a journalist and editor, she has experience in print media, radio, and television, including: Nova Makedonija, MRT-Radio Skopje – Second Program, NoMa Radio, TV21, TV Klan Macedonia, Predizvici – Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Georgievska has participated in numerous trainings and projects for the advancement of professional journalism, the promotion of media literacy, media ethics, and the fight against disinformation and fake news. She has taken part in ad-hoc groups promoting European values in North Macedonia, good neighborly relations, and the resolution of bilateral disputes in the region. She graduated from the Department of Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Philology at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Since April 2023, she has held the position of Executive Director of the Council of Media Ethics of Macedonia.
