As a body that is responsible for establishing the process of self-regulation in the media, being committed to a high level of responsibility by journalists and observance of journalistic standards in their reporting, we ask ourselves – how they could expose themselves as such professionals when high officials physically attack them just because questions were asked!?
If journalists are expected to be highly professional and ethical in their reporting, there should be a democratic climate in which the officials would be aware about the fact that they spend public money and they have a duty to be transparent in front of the public.
We expect Mr. Pesevski to resign as an act of taking responsibility and a feature of democratic acting.
