We remind the media of the obligation to monitor the public interest in informing and impartial dissemination of information on the developments, including their careful scrutiny. At the same time, we call on the media not to abuse the ethnicity of citizens and to be extremely careful in delivering statements containing hate speech and inciting dictionary that can upset the public and lead to new incidents.
An incomplete scrutiny of information and speculation, doesn’t represent only dramatic violation of professional standards, it can also lead to significant damage to the public and fair understanding of the issues and events.
