The experiences and perspectives of the Council on Media Ethics of Macedonia (CMEM) was the main topic of the debate held on February 2, in Skopje.

The Council of Media Ethics of Macedonia has successfully implemented the regional conference “Challenges for the press councils in the region of Balkans”, in Skopje, from May 18 – 19th, where representatives of the self-regulatory bodies from Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro took part. The event was organized together with the OSCE Mission to Skopje and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands.
"This is an opportunity to discuss the past experiences of the Council of Media Ethics with the media management, and to get acquainted with the experiences of other councils," Marina Tuneva, the executive director of CMEM, said at the beginning of the meeting, held on 17 October in Skopje.
The Council of Media Ethic of Macedonia (CMEM) received support from the European Union and UNESCO to participate in the project “Building trust in the media of Southeast Europe and Turkey”.
